I know, I just posted a post saying I had chosen a WordPress Theme.. well I lied.

What can I say? I’m a perfectionist, that’s part of why people like my products.. and I’ve been making my own webpages from scratch since what, 1992? So settling on a prefab theme was an impossible task. As it is, this one is a pretty serious mod-job.

Thanks go out to Sezmra Svarog, for pointing me at the “Candle” theme. While I didn’t end up using it, testing it out did help me to focus on the features I *REALLY* wanted, and *DIDN’T* want. Also of course, big thanks to Demus Design for their “Bipolar” theme..and HUGE thanks to Horacio Bella for his “Fontella” theme, from which I lifted a few elements and design cues.

Sincerest thanks also go out to Luc Aubret of AubreTEC and of course Kyrah Abattoir of KDC, both of who’s websites are powered by WordPress.. both for giving me pointers, and convincing me through their own use of the system, that WordPress was the right way to go, regardless of any difficulty I might have in getting started.

Obviously the site is a little bare-bones right now, and I know that this site currently doesn’t feature some of the things that people have come to expect from WordPress-powered sites. In fact that’s part of what I like about this layout. Over the next few days, I am sure that SOME of those elements you’ve come to rely on will eventually find thier way into the site’s layout.

Anyways.. it’s been a long day, so I’m off to bed. I feel like I’ve accomplished quite a bit today.
